Thanks Darin and Aimee, I totally agree with this podcast. When I was a child I received the Lord at a rally. I can still remember the wonderful freedom of belief, and I just knew Jesus would help me through the hard things in my life. What I didn't think about was having to work on improving myself. Perhaps because I was a child the concept was so much easier to grasp. Like the 'Amazing Grace' song the focus is on the saviour rather than on the wretch, so to speak. When we look inside ourselves and try to work out our own problems we are using our own strength and intellect, when we should be casting our cares on Jesus and just letting him love us as we are. Then we can actually enjoy the life he gave us. Maybe if we did this people would want to know why we are so happy:-

Thanks for this podcast. It is so much what I experienced and since I left the IC I also left this thinking. Since I gave up the intentional pursuit of personal growing, I actually have grown more then ever. I think its the system of the world that IC adapted there.
